Iwrestledabearonce were one of the heavily buzzed about bands at the festival and they delivered a great performance. Check out some photos below

Austrian Death Machine | New England Metal Fest

Austrian Death Machine - New England Metal Fest 2009

Austrian Death Machine, a metal tribute to famous Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes was one of the show stealers at the festival. Featuring members of As I Lay Dying, Job for a Cowboy, Unearth among others, the band ripped through tracks like “Get to the Choppa!” while having people on stage in Arnold and Predator masks. The guy who wore the Arnold mask even did some impressions and vocals. Unfortunately, I don’t think they had any songs about Twins, maybe on follow up. Check out some photos below.

Suicide Silence | New England Metal Fest

Suicide Silence New England Metal Fest 2009

Suicide Silence played an unannounced performance at New England Metal Fest early in the day on the main stage and the crowd went insane. I am not to familiar with this band, but their energetic live show definitely peaked my interest. Check out some photos below.

Defeater | New England Metal Fest

Defeater released a great record last year by the name of Travels and I was excited to finally catch them live at New England Metal Fest. Check out some photos below.

Energy | New England Metal Fest

Energy New England Metal and Hardcore Festival 2009

Energy brought a high energy octane performance to the second stage of New England Metal Fest Saturday. They have a sound very reminiscent of Ignite, Misfits or older AFI. Check out some photos below.

Napalm Death | New England Metal Fest

Napalm Death New England Metal Fest 2009 Worcester

Napalm Death gave the younger folk at Metal Fest a lesson in how to rock. (Excuse how lame that sentence was) They guaranteed more songs in a 30 minute set then any other band and delivered. Check out photos below.
